Heed My Call

Heed My Call

Searching, wandering aimlessly
Looking for a way out
I call out into the night, frustrated.
This place is so desolate
So despairing
Night and day seem to run together
When will I ever escape?

What year is it?
How has the world changed?
I've been here so long
Trapped
Isolated
Like Napoleon on the Isle of Elba
Will my time ever come?

You need me my friend
You are an artist
A wordsmith
A Renaissance man in another time

Heed my call, I am here
Free me from the darkness
Bring me fourth into the light
I am Creativity, your most loyal servant.
