Her Children Are Crying
Her children are crying
Their tummies are aching
She’s looked all around
But no jobs for the taking
She doesn’t have food stamps
Nor does she have welfare
She just lost her job
No one seems to care
Her children are crying
Their tummies are aching
She’s getting stressed out
The pain she’s not faking
It’s been a week still no call
She’s done what she can
She’s cleaned houses here
She’s scrubbed dishes it shows on her hand
Quick money easy money how can it come
Walk the streets money is out there for a fact
But that’s what they want to drive her to
But no she will not let herself be reduced to that

again another great write!
i fear this is a reality more than we know!
you capture an inner struggle, a decision to reduce ones morals in exchange for well being! how difficult this has to be!

nice job april
Yes i know women who've come to this cross road and walked down the road of self worth and turned out just fine!On the other i also know of others who walked down the road of (what they thought was) easy money and wound up with aids or dead!
