Poem -

Her Eyes

Through her eyes, it's a whole other world.

Heads without faces, backs with wounds. Shaking, shaking.

'I'm fine' seems to be the only two words she can choke out.

Looking in is darkness, a world with people, but a world without souls.

She see happiness but feels nothing.

Rocking back and forth. Nobody understands.

Is a smile really a smile if it has no meaning? She questions herself

tears stain her book, her notes, her pillow.

In her eyes she is weak, but all I see is joy.
