Her Inside

Her Inside

Starting to learn who I am
The girl I shut down in kindergarten
Is coming back to see me again
I made her hide who she was
Take a ride to nowhere cause
I didn’t want to make a big fuss
And she learned how to cuss
To keep away from others on the bus
Cause protection of the heart is a must
And now she doesn’t know how to trust
Always leaving others in the dust

But now she’s back again
Wanting to be my friend
Not worried I’ll be feign
Cause time can show you how
To unravel what you plow
And she never understood that until now.
