Here I Stand...

Here I stand before you...
Broken, helpless and wounded...
Naked because I was stripped of my womanhood...

Told to lay still and silent, while staring at a hollow point...
The whole time my eyes closed, trying not to breathe...
Sweat ran off him on to my face as if I were crying...
Feeling the cold steel press into my chest, I kept them shut...

After it was over I was tossed away like trash...
I trusted the touch of no human being...
But here I stand...

Arms slowly opening waiting for you to save me...
Where could you be?
Where are you?

Here I stand before you stripped...
Of my innocence, my dignity, and power...
Only to see a flash of your face as my nightmare...
You were suppose to be my protector...

In reality you were my abuser...
So here I stand alone, cold and broken...
But yet here I stand...
