Here Today- Gone Today

Both of you my precious Angels, were stolen in one day;
You were with me in the morning, but by night, had gone away!
Taken by an evil Fate, that struck with warning not;
Who sneaked in and snatched your Souls away, no battle to be fought!

My heart and Soul are shredded, Fate sliced them to the core;
Each day I weep uncontrollably, as my tears eternal pour!
Even when the Sun shines bright, I dwell in the darkness of despair;
As I roam the halls of our empty home, and you’re no longer there!

Your beautied barks still reverberate, through the sanctum of my Soul;
I sob upon your sacred Shrines, as they peal with the Reaper’s knoll!
I’m sequestered in such silent sadness, each smile tis but a ruse;
To fool the folks who think I’m fine, to hide the wounds from Fate’s abuse!

Here today, gone tomorrow, gives a Soulmate time prepare;
For the heartbreak fast approaching, their loved-one no longer there!
But you were gone in just one day, no next ones did you see;
My Angels left so quickly, as did the better part of me!
