Hex to fill the Hollow

snakes writhe in her hands and 
the hiss of rattles shiver 
shameless over skin inscribed 
her heart is a thunder over eyes torn open and 
the voices in her empty room are frenzied before 
the bloodied mother mary 
statues of the saints for sinful knaves 
a flash of beaded entrapment 
between feathers and pigeon blood 
needled dolls suspended from nooses 
lizard heads 
baboon hands 

she calls in the horror 
like a silent and afflicted guard 

brick dust by the portal is kicked aside in trance 

she wears goat eyes and demon teeth 
(i'm taken) 
as she dances, swirling in the smoke of forbidden fires
