Poem -

HIDDEN INSIDE THE CRACK---- the walnut box

in my shell the cracks creep
secrets follow in the silence dripping on sighted floors

in a Walnut box
at rest slumped against the peeling skin
on a mountain the top shelf
in tears of treasure torn souls and fragrant corpse
shelter beneath the swollen wooden lid

You will not be allowed to see them
you will not be able to understand or carve any tormented reason to them
forgotten gifts
perhaps you entered them into the casket

in the wood shell, the walnut box slumped against the pale white wall
im safe
free from vampires,monsters,
and the hammer of normality

at the bottom,
below the gift
scratched in the soft varnish
a prayer given on dead lip
read but once in a silent vision

you wont know the content
i see the stretch ,
i see you perch on the lid,
poking ebony and bony pieces of yesterday
prising at cracks

a slaughter starts to sing
you join its verse
you cause the sting

but ive closed the sealed top
ive laid the wreath
kissed the force in smile

you cannot get at me
im safe inside
listen while i steal and read the missing prayer
