Hidden Tears

She wears a smile upon her face, 
Which may hide a million tears
Seemingly fine, but secretly sad
The smile isn’t what it appears

Today whilst we are happy
Our friend may harbour pain
Lets pray she soon feels sunshine
Instead of cold hard rain

Our loved ones are our strength
In these our times of need
Knowing one is in such pain
Their hearts will also bleed

They say time is a healer
I’m sure that this is true
So dear friend embrace the love
While you’re feeling blue

While the pain is hard to bear
The grieving hurts so bad
I’ll pray for you and given time
You won’t feel quite so sad

Take the happy times my friend
Memories are a treasure
My wish for you is that one day
You’ll remember them with pleasure
