Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek

Everytime the clouds played

Hide and seek, you grew nervous!

It happened last night as well!

Today you’re gone!

You’re gone is okay

But the hilltop rock

Where we used to sit

Shines silver in moonlight still!

The river down under

Still flows in laughter!

The boat still lies there

The bats’re coming back home

The birds’re setting to go out

The jasmine’s fragrance is deep

The clouds play hide and seek still!

Everything is but just the same

Except that you’re no more!

Why did we meet?

If we met to part with

I’d not have met you.

Tell me where’ve you gone

Are you going to return ever?

I am not rigid to live without you

I am not, I am not, I am not!

If you are up in the sky

Tell the moon not to shine.

If it shines, the hilltop rock

Is bathed in moonlight

And I get wrecked

To be there again without you!

Curse the moon not to shine

Shine never in future

As I feel dead without you beside!

Show me either where you are

Or let not the moon shine again!

What I liked once most

Is staring me now to swallow!

The beauty of the landscape is completed by drowning in the absence of a beloved person and P.L Jaison poem represents that feeling perfectly. A greeting.
