Hide And Seeker---For Cherie

The Good Shepherd bestows upon her, his love and heartfelt kiss;
The times when she has to leave him, he dearly does her miss!
For she is his whole World, he is ever in pure love;
As is she with her dear Seeker, sent down from skies above!
 
She takes him to Nature’s waters, where he frolics and he plays;
His teeth will give a gentle snap, each wave that comes his way!
In the Winter’s falling snowflakes, he has perfected a “Doggie Dance”;
He will leap into a jete, then on his toes will deftly prance!
 
If a stranger near approaches, coming close his Mommy’s way;
His hide will hardly stiffen, to keep them well at bay!
Then once he has assessed them, be they friend or be they foe;
He’ll either let them them come on forward, or tell them they’d best go!
 
On days that Mommy’s sulking, he’ll lay down right by her side;
Licking up all the tears of depression, that his soulmate sadly cried!
He’ll then look into her moist eyes, with a love so very true;
Saying, my name is “Seeker’s Safe Haven”, and forever I’ll love you!
