Hierarchy of Education

So often feeling inferior because I didn't complete a degree
no endless bundle of education money was supplied for me
Feeling inadequate
Lesser and judged by the powers that be
Can't stand to be seen as dumb
A failure
Every thought parading through my head
Voices stirring louder and louder
Beating myself up endlessly
A slave to the elite
Not seen on their level
Unable to marry the smartest or richest
The kind I desire most.....

Being Me

I find this so sad that you feel this way. Having a degree is not everything...unless you want to be a doctor of course.  But lots of people don't have degrees and they do very well for themselves. And lots of people have degrees who really shouldn't. Great poem - a good strong write... hugs x
