High Tide

Creating
waves
she
easily surfs,
pulling back the tide
to keep youÂ
on my shore.
I want to know....no
oceansÂ
are between,
not an anchored ship
wish, fishingÂ
for a queen.
By time
I expose truth
me to you
on night time shore
lovers, under howler's moon;
Tumble, flail
in laying dominant dance
through high water
vanishing beach,
sea-foam kisses
cold murderous salt waters
slap at fiery engaged faces,
swap air below
where the salty await vessel claim
with patience.
UnawareÂ
realitie's dream
leaves me abashed in self tussel,
my lady legs
now of tall tails
midnight moonbeam mermaids
swims with the whales
in all afairs of the sea.....
In early sunbeam hours
wash shipwrecked sailors
bewildered up on beach,
am I survivor seeking saviorÂ
on broken-
hearted shore
bet captain,
thine own destination master
better off before.....

H Devon Your  poem tells of the mermaid whoÂ
has bewitched him and other sailors too.
Is he the one she wants or is he like theÂ
others she has shipwrecked that are now washed  up on
the shore (only my interpretation):-)
