Poem -

Highlighter Pink

I imagine you're trying so hard, but can’t outlive the trauma:
The hurt. I invite you to breathe; and do it in private; for pain
Is palpable; and death lingers—a solid adversary. I love you
More, breathing; and precious eyes long your soul; and so

Much to hate; and so little to love; albeit, love burns. The
Halls are long: the songs are few; but God gives; and music
Reigns. Invest a dreary soul: read a mystic book; and Buda
Sings; and yoga moves: a Krishna art—a sacred scent. I

Ponder Christ—a partial prayer; and favor ghosts—a night of
Storms. Forgive the pain: forgive the self; and journey love—
A public frame. The wealth is heart: a tender void; and fill the
Volt: a tender pond; and live the life: a christic slant; and
Dance the moon: a stippled rose; and feel the love—a source
Within: a roof of tears: a healing fen.
