On The Hill

On The Hill

Will you be there waiting

On the hill

To hold me tight

When the birds fly back

High up to their mountain?

Or winter storms appear

And take away the road

That once seemed so clear?

Will you help me

When I fall away

From the safety of the earth

And float down to the cool

Endless light of madness?

And when good salesmen

come around to offer you favours

Will you simply say;

No thanks, so long;

I'll need no souvenirs

To weigh me down;

I'm in need of nothing!

I already have a love that keeps me strong
