Poem -

His Eyes

His eyes of ice and sky pierce shards of bliss
Two sapphire gems sit on his lovely face
His eyes of ocean breeze, of breathlessness
They smile and squint at me with a soft gaze
I’ve heard it said from friends, both sirs and dames
Fall for men due to their irises
Because in old age, eyes remain the same
The “look of love” is hundreds of kisses
The Lord from Heaven gave his eyes that hue
And all the angels made his eyes just right
For men, of course, you can’t go wrong with blue
I’m driven mad, please cure me of this plight
Insanely mad in love with those two eyes
They pierce pure shards of bliss, of sky and ice
