Poem -

His Feet

In front of a gate
I see under it a pair of feet
The feet look ordinary but are malevolent
The man who is behind the gate has been stalking me all my life
The gate, unlocked, will reveal his face
Fear paralyzed me, for this man was here to take me to another place
If I open this gate he will take me into the other place
Although not physical it has been breathing over my shoulder
Waiting so it can pull me through
I leave the room but I am obsessed with these feet
I get home and look in the mirror
He found me
Into the other place I go.
