Historical Abuse

Historical Abuse

All those years ago, we did many strange things,
but only what our programmed memory brings;
no one may ever no, now that's all in the past,
sometimes we wonder, how long will deceit last.

Only God saw every event that included you,
of course, that doesn't matter what I may do;
someone's lying, who are we to really believe,
the answers, twisted, may be difficult to conceive.

I can only think of myself not being very good,
just imagine a knock on the door if you could:
'Are you Jesus of Nazareth, The King of the Jews?'
'We believed you were abused, it said in the news.'

'Yes, I was, but then I forgave all of mankind,
you should know, I was the nicest man you'll ever find.

Note: The photograph is of Joan of Arc
         who was burned at the stake in 1431.
