Hit Me With Colors
Hit me with colors
Surround me with gold
Envelope me with red
Swirl around me with yellow and madly...
madly spin, untether
Autumn, you are the season
You are the hieroglyphic reason
that I can see and fathom
what was intangible and wildly...
wildly aloft
Leaves spattered with hues
Spraying their colors in the crispy air
Your winds, whispers soft
Hush as you hit the trees
The mountains move
by your ubiquitous, ethereal breeze
Hit me with colors
Show what is true about your nature
Surround me, envelope me
As I walk in the grey of yesterday

A beautiful piece of work Michael! I love descriptive poems especially about the wonderful, vibrant seasons- Autumn being my personal favourite- Lovely pace and rhythm throughout, with magical , pictorial description that draws the reader right into your world. Nice job!!! xx
Thank you Iodgiana. I'm glad you like this piece. Autumn is my favourite season as well. It's a beautiful ending of summer, I say. I love the colors that come out with the leaves falling all around. Great time to take walks. Thanks again and have a great day!
