Hive Mind

Hive mind.
Seven hours
each day.
On average
people spend
seven
hours
each day
on screen
stare.
Nearly half
of awake
time
on screen
stare.
To what
end?
More anxiety.
More hostility.
More easily
coerced,
controlled.
Fifty
years ago.
People
spent zero
hours
on screen
stare.
To what
end?
Less anxiety.
Less hostility.
Less easily
coerced,
controlled.
Fifty
years
from now
people
will spend
all their
time on
screen
stare.
To what
end?
Complete
lose of
individuality.
Ultimate
control.
Uniformity
of thought.
Hive mind.

Hello John...
That sounds like a very scary future...
Not one I want to see but, I don't think it's going to be as far away as fifty years...
There's going to be very hard times in the very near future...
It's already happening...
When the old school people are all gone that's going to be a world I definitely don't want to live in...
No one will know how to do things the old school way and it's definitely going to be a mess...
People will be asking people if they know how to do something...
Sure I'll just go on youtube...
That's going to be a $20,000 repair...
People are already taking money and running...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...

Thank you kindly for reading my work JP
You forgot to mention cosmo John...time spent on cosmo? I'm just on my way to bin this device so I'll say goodbye....forever...😆😆🤩😊😊
It’s amazing how these technologies eat up our time.
what on earth did we do to pass time before?
We used to actually visit people John...remember? That's why everybody suffers depression John...2000 friends to talk to online whilst sitting alone at home staring at a screen. 😑😑

John this is a clever write. Almost makes me think of us as The Borg with that hive mind. Yes we do definitely rely on our screens way too much. I liked the cyclical feeling you gave this by repeating certain lines. It is a monotonous habit we all seem to be gaining
Enjoyed this :)

Thanks Gwen. This tech can be used for both good and ill
We need to keep it all in perspective…. Some how.
The equilibrium of the technological age...yes we definitely need that. I think right now with all the new techno gadgets and software coming out, we are like kids in a candy store. We have very little self control as we explore it’s possibilities. I suspect we will make many mistakes before we find that balance...eek :)
