Hold Me Close My Darling

I close my eyes Take a deep breathe 
I still feel you near I had a dream I fell in love again And we never finished And that I gave you all I had including my heart There were so many pretty faces all around But all we could see was each other And when you grabbed me You could feel My heart  You felt it beating with yours Faster & faster when it came close to yours I had a dream I was flying looking for something I didn't have I stopped & talked to some birds on the way  They told me to just keep going, & going & going But I never really knew what I was going for  I only knew I was going to find a part of me that made you happy  I got the chance to meet every star, every planet, every Galaxy Everything that made me Because you where there I found you here I closed my eyes I felt your lips And we kissed I felt use becoming the same We became the same But it slowly started to fade away Don't cry Don't cry Tear falls from my eye Just hold me close my darling  Just hold me close As we travel on just hold me close my darling I see the stars falling The planets breaking Cuz I'm breaking I don't know where to go And no one else seems to know
We're Nights fallen Cold water Our dark hearts Callin' Why try at all?? Why bother??You couldn't mean this Who would have thought this?? When you lie inside darkness it's hard to see I tried to give you the light I had inside of me Even when I laughed, When I cried & Even when I was sad I was really happy You were the light for me And still no matter how hard I tried I wasn't enough 

So we're left alone Where the nights have fallen No one left to call upon Cuz our dark hearts are callin' Who would have dreamed this?? It would be some type of meanness to where you are

We lost us So I keep you off in the distance

But still close in my heart  To tell you that I haven't left you
