Hold Me for Ransom

     When I get so overcome with seeing love unfold 
I thank the Lord
I can witness it all
That’s my reward 
     When I get so mad
I can’t control what I said
I need to apologize 
I need to repent 
I need to close some doors 
     When I feel so very blessed
I let down my guard I guess 
that’s when the devil comes  waltzing in 
He knows I love to dance 
     When I’m lonely at night
I pull out a pen and write 
and distract myself again 
I won’t let the Damn Devil 
hold me for ransom
