Hold On

It seems that times are changing, I'm told keep walking on,
Life doesn't wait for us and the good old days are gone.
Reminiscing happy memories, remembering where I've been, 
Some may want to run ahead but I'm afraid I'm not so keen. 
It's not a fear of change, I don't mind the fate of aging,
I just wish the world would take a breath and not leap too fast into changing. 
Every era has it's youth and every step we grow,
I'm happy to reach each year, just yearn to walk it slow. 
The world turns the same so why does life try to rush? ,
Chaos and noise from a society that should try to occasionally shush.
Its all beyond my power and maybe I'm stuck in my ways,
Its just that my heart and my mind hold on to better days.
