Holding you in my arms tonight

As the moon and stars,

Wrestle with the sun,

For their rightful and timely,

Place in the sky.

Now with our evening done,

I lay here awake,

Holding my loved one,

Embraced asleep in my arms,

Someone I’ve connected with already sky high.

A woman I want to hold for the rest of our time.

To love,

Cherish and hold as time flies by.

Thinking how has this amazing family,

Waltzed into this life of mine.

Forever I thought I would be dreaming of meeting my soulmate,

‘the one'.

Never did I ever think,

 Someone amazing would glide into my life,

As elegant as a Swan.

I feel like I’m 20,000 leagues,

Under the sea.

And she's 20,000 leagues way up there,

Way above me!

If I had wings I.would fly,

Just from the way she makes me feel.

Everything about her and her amazing kids,

Makes my boys happy,

Just like I.

If I thought I had fight in me before,

Then now there’s a 100 times more.

The writing is there,

No more scrambled on the floor.

I love how our families are converging.

May it continue forever more.

Miss Liz White is my light,

My way and my saviour.

She's quickly become my conditional everything,

As.everything about her,

I simply adore!

So these are just a few of my 2am thoughts.

As laying next to me,

Is my new world,

Of which I’ve so much more to explore.

They’ve all bought life to our house once again.

For both of us,

No more sorrow,

No more pain.

Just happy memories to make,

With the odd holiday by plane.

I can’t wait for covid to be over,

So we can have our 1st proper  date,

And finally feel sane!
