HOLES IN JUMPERS AND TROUSERS

 
Feel so strong and feel compelled to write  
Something that troubles me day and night  
Why should people today be forced to beg  
Holes in their jumpers and trouser leg 

This cannot be right in our world today 
Homelessness is prevalent I have to say  
Rich man can't decide if it's meat or fish  
Homeless man can only ponder and wish 

If there is an answer please let me know 
All about us homelessness is starting to grow 
Just be grateful it isn't me or you  
Be thankful for everything that much is true
