Hollywood

Hollywood's streets aren't paved with gold
the studios tarnished where souls are sold

Beneath the facades from age now crumbling
fallen stars in alcoholic stupors stumbling

Dreams left in smoldering heaps along the boulevards
those fragileĀ bottles of dignity reduced to jagged shards

And this is the playground I wish to frolic in
that cruel land of flashes and vainglorious sin
