HOLMES AND WATSON

Holmes wasn't home when I visited him today
Out on business that's what Mrs Hudson did say
Doctor Watson was having tea in the study 
So I decided to leave a message with his buddy 

I told the good doctor the whole of my story 
Didn't leave out the gruesome bits nor the gory
For a man was lying dead on a quiet park bench
Could tell he was dead just by the awful stench 

How he came to be there I really don't know 
No doubt Mr Holmes would call him John Doe
He would find some clues to this murder case 
Holmes knew that things would fall into place 

The name of the murderer was a matter of time 
For Holmes it was about solving another crime 
The good doctor Watson would contribute too
I love reading and watching their stories don't you
