Honesty, A Double-Edged Sword

How do you outrun a Past,
That you didn't commit.
Even though a price paid,
You Already Did.
How Easily, Lives can change,
With three simple words.
Honesty, Powerful Word,
With No Meaning.
Lies, Leave me at a loss for words.
Honesty Scares, While
Lies Protect.
How do you outrun a Past,
When its the Lock,
On Every Door.
There's More To My Past,
Than these Words on a page.
My Curse in My Honesty,
My Normality, My Weighted Belt
Holding Me Back, Presently
In This Life I Live.
Never did I imagine,
Honesty, would ever be
The Downfall, of a once
Honorable Man.
How Do I outrun a Past
When Honesty, Has No Meaning.
My Present....... will always be
My Past........I am cursed by Honesty.
My Honesty, My Honesty, My Love
How Easily, Lives Can Change,
With Three Simple Words.......I Love You.
