The Honesty, The Truth, About Love.."

In the aspirations of Love, where the fruits
Hanging so attractively from the tree of Eden's promises
And the temptations around where sex and sharing
Seems as perfection grows into blissful gardens
And mornings that earn unwavering trust between lovers
And new Lovers bask in the glow of the rose colors
But when the intimacy becomes invasive
And truth becomes the last line of personal defense
The question evolves into "Do I let them all the way in?"
And in the hesitation, with Loves glow still upon their cheeks
They begin to dig into places that can hurt
And the defensiveness begins
And appears to be apprehension
And then the mistrust begins
To turn the Lovers
From Lovers to friends
Do they eat the fruit?
That Eden offers
Or do they simply
Trust one another
For in the heart of Love
The apple cannot be eaten
Trust in one's Lover
Is all that there is
To create the agar
For true Love to begin
The freedom to reveal
All of themselves
At their own pace
For they have trust
One for the other
It's then
That true Love
Is most honestly
Discovered.....
