HONG KONG PHOOEY

While in a charity shop the other day 
I saw a bargain coming my way 
All the episodes of Hong Kong Phooey on DVD 
Part of my youth I saw him fondly on the TV 

Eveyone has cartoon characters they can't forget 
Top Cat, Bugs Bunny and Slvyester are on the list I bet 
 Hong Kong Phooey to me was the number one super guy 
Every eposide made me laugh and cry 

Fighting crime and assisted by his dog Spot 
This mild mannered janitor had the lot 
The bottom drawer of a filing cabinet was the star of the show 
That's when he was transformed if you didn't already know 

So I will buy this DVD to remember and reminisce 
I thanked the lady in the charity shop with a kiss
