A cage around the reckless, 

allows no other in.

Unable to mend itself,

pain seems to always win.

Time is said to heal all wounds,

but can it a broken soul?

Ripping at the seams,

a heart no longer whole?

Silent moments speak to us,

blaring deep within our mind.

Reality distorts what really is,

a prison is what we find.

In chains we remain,

weakening faith and our will.

The more we try to free and fly,

the more we just stand still.

Black or blue, earth to sea,

love, both sword and shield. 

The sun, the rain, the moon to be,

across a lifeless field.

Remember what is blessed to you,

through every battle fought.

Light will always find the dark,

in love forever sought.
