Hope spring's eternal
I love you, but please be patient with me
Troubles are my company
My soul's comfort is sent as empty promises in the mailbox
But I check every day for answers with spring's eternal hope
I love you, but please be patient with me
There are no rose colored glasses to cover my malady
Flowery phrases can’t cure the aches and pains that I live with
I love you, but please be patient with me
There are many songs left to sing and words unsaid in my concerto
So stay if you want to or go if your heart tells you so
I will look on you with wordless wonder as hope spring's eternal
I love you, but please be patient with me
Some days the madness pains like a destructive lover I can never resist
But light remains in your kiss,
My spirit clings to the sunrise of another day in the paradise
Of your eyes,
Still beholding the existence of true love`s fountain
Or can it be just an illusion? I cannot tell, but hope spring's eternal.
