‘Hopscotch’

‘Hopscotch’

Yet another brilliant blast from my past!! ‘Hopscotch’ I loved it!!
throwing a piece of chalk on a numbered square and literally hopping.. forming little lines of friends and following each other without stopping !!

All we needed to play this popular passtime was a little stick of white chalk.. we used to follow our well learned rules chalking squares on the pavement or a wooden broadwalk.. such good fun and a big hit back in my day.. it wasn’t just the girls but even the boys used to play

Ahh but it’s only just a memory from when I was so small.. playing out till almost dark, dreading your Mother’s call “ Jill come on.. it’s bedtime!!” grudgingly going home to get your bath to get rid of your evening grime.. Ahh but those were the days when we knew how to play.. we never had that much but things were so much better I have to say ?
