Clouds dark as night on the horizon

Effects of this storm are sure to worsen

Wind speeds build relentlessly

All expect mayhem and catastrophe

Rain lashes down constantly for hours

All expect nature to display its full powers

Lightning flashes quicken overhead

News speaks of countless dead

Many have taken to shelters already

But brave souls check others safety

The climate so volatile in the past years

Proving correct all meteorologists fears

Global warming changed our planet forever

Extreme conditions are common to measure

Elsewhere deserts have rapidly grown

To some droughts and starvation are known

Mans survival is now a matter of speculation

As panic sweeps across every single nation

Pollution has caused untold millions to perish

So much has disappeared we once did cherish.
