The Hostage

The kingdom has fallen,

Her highness has taken over,

The sad old king with his wisdom ignored,

Soon became her hostage.

Driven mad he becomes psychotic,

Doing his best to annoy the Queen,

Hoping she would become sick and tired,

Then his kingdom she would leave.

Until that day he must remain silent,

Take her orders with a shot of sarcasm,

Muttering to himself "One of these days,

One of these days I'll stand up on my weak legs,

And rip the crown off her big head,

and watch her fall to pieces",

People will always remember that day,

As the day the Hostage took over.
