HOTEL ON THE MOON

HOTEL ON THE MOON

The day has come, the lights are out
No more cleaning their toilets, no more laying their grout
Soon to be a cosmic bride and groom, we've extended our stay
But lucky for us there's a hotel on the moon

The world's on fire, seas have grown
Outside the atmosphere, we ain't gonna be alone
There's one shuttle left and it's leaving soon
There's two seats open and a vacant hotel on the moon

Down here I've never had much of a chance
I've seen the winners cash in their prizes in a cash romance
I spent years wishing it would all just go away
Just maybe if I found some fame under an earthly rock, I would have stayed

The world's on fire, seas have grown
Outside the atmosphere, we ain't gonna be alone
There's one shuttle left and it's leaving soon
There's two seats open and a vacant hotel on the moon

I can see their mansions as they burn away
I can see it clear from my hotel window, the place we could not stay
There's a few survivors but the apocalypse won't stop
They're suffocating, screaming from the highest of mountain tops

The world's on fire, seas have grown
Outside the atmosphere, we ain't gonna be alone
There's one shuttle left and it's leaving soon
There's two seats open and a vacant hotel on the moon
