HOUSING ESTATE
Growing up is tough living on a housing estate
Conditions are cramped not particularly great
Best not leave your place when it gets dark
Somebody somewhere wants to leave their mark
Drug dealing is common all hours of the day
Noisy neighbours shout just to have their say
The kids should be at school are rude for sure
Every five seconds there is a slamming door
A shady businessman enters flat number four
On the lookout for a quick fix and a score
Ladies offer themselves if the price is right
Twenty quid for the afternoon it's more at night
A housing estate like this is a common place
Lived by all creed or colour religion or race
Sure it is tough but the people seem to get by
No time for self pity and no time to cry
