How a poem is created

Well if you
reflect 
how ink is created
I have to say
the words spoken

are cryptic
energy that glides
through the 
mind and
transforms
to the quill

I can't say
 a thought
or expression
is pondered upon

it just arrives
for me
like an 
unexpected gift

Kinda hard
for me 
to then
feel
ownership

though
clearly
the conception
comes from
my own imagination

Ultimately this
Takes us back
to matter

I am you
you are
me
 
the poet
the audience
has 
a circular
wave
of connection

there are
no real
straight
lines
when it
comes to souls
and spirits

we dwell
universally

our print
is sealed
within
the canvass
of humanity

maybe
this
is why a singular
phrase of words
can bring us
together
through
shared emotions.
