HOW DO I WRITE A LOVE SONG

Many times our paths have crossed
many times a chance of love was lost
I watch him from afar,I smile and wave
if only he knew it`s him I crave
We are good friends, but i know I want more
I d like a relationship with him for sure
When we talk my heart thumps, in my chest
when he greets me with a kiss ahh! its just the best
We have a connection we both love to write
songs he composes, poetry for me, our guiding lights
Now he`s asked me to write a song, and my heads in a spin
he says songs are poems put to music, but i don t know where to begin
I have said to him" ok give me a topic I ll give it a try "
he gave the topic of love, oh no! I thought,I was going to cry
How do I write a love song, without letting him know how I feel?
How do I write a love song, wielding words to him, that are real?
It has been three weeks now I ve written song after song
but they all show that I care for him,they show, its with him I belong
So the love song has been put on hold, even though I ve written easily, ten
I wont allow myself to show my feelings,I don t want to be hurt again
I know I am being stupid, but i have no confidence, its so low
Ill just continue with our friendship, those feelings I have,I will not show
And if he asks me where s the song, ill give him some sorry excuse
Ill just adore him from afar, while he sings on stage, his rhythm and blues

This is beautiful Debs....I love the rhyming... perfect!...My take is you give him one of the songs you've written....He might be feeling the same way you're feeling but just want to be sure you guys are on the same boat...Best of luck!?
Hi Sweet Rose I love your theory

Lots of love Debs
Great Poem Debs, it 's really from the heart.
I'm wondering why he's asked you to write a love song?? (maybe as he actually wants to know how you feel!).... Take every opportunity that comes your way and please give him the love song!!!!!!!....yes you risk hurting ....but you may open the door to something wonderful.

Hi Lorna Yes this was from the heart
I have had chances with this guy before and not taken it up
afraid of being hurt i guess but we are friends and he reads my poetry.
When i have been to his gigs he says how he likes it that means alot
one day maybe :-)
Thank you for your lovely comments always appreciated
so sorry for the late reply
Love n hugs Debs xx
Hi Deb's, you are right, it's awful getting hurt, but you are already emotionally invested, so if this lovely gentleman of yours finds someone new...you will be hurt!!
Jump in both feet take the risk, if all fails you tried and if it doesn't work.....he wasn't worth it....as you can tell I love a good love story!!

My Dear Debs,
It is time to let your guard down, for it's evident he cares;
He's waiting for your love song, to see if with his it can compare!
To the one he's already written, about who else, but only you;
He needs your confirmation, that your love, like his is true!
So swallow those inhibitions, for Shakespeare long ago said;
Tis better to have loved and lost, than to hide behind your dread!
Only this time there will be no losers, for when he sees you feel the same;
Soon you'll hear your wedding bells, and you'll be changing your last name!
Hugs, Peace and Love,
