HOW GREAT IS THOU ART?

HOW GREAT IS THOU ART?

They say that Picasso could paint as good as Renoir
when he was sixteen annd invented cubism as was seen;
we look at abstract art in a similar way to writing,
only the artist knows what's in his mind and sighting.

Someone said: 'You're a chess player, don't know your mind,
however, a professor of maths was only really one kind;
ironically, his name was Smart but then outlook limited,
beauty in numbers indeed, my text would put him to bed.

He could only perceive beyond Texas IInstruments,
in reduced increments, from a rather lofty residence;
we did calculus, when that came then most of us left,
no big deal, why should us plebians feel so bereft.

My old art teacher said that you can put down as it falls,
because let's face it, everyone's seen a prick and two balls.
