How would you describe your first date with the perfect person?

Our First Date

Holding hands we stand together
in the cold spring air overlooking a pond.
The dreary night lit by the park lights
and the glow from our hearts
reflecting from raindrops on the wet lawn.
Something has helped us to find each other
after so long alone trying to recover.
Our old selves gone forever,
freed from a broken past.
Now we are here under a gazebo
knowing what we feel will last.
