HUMBLE CONFIDENCE

I know I am good

I don’t need to be great

For I have humble confidence

Any obstacles I climb over

Any vices I have

I use to excellent effect

I am what I am

To be is not for me

I am always the one

Who I wish to be

I climb no greasy pole

I am already at the top

I follow no rules

For no one can confine me

I like who I am

And I pay no deference to ANYONE

Who will slay me?

Arrogance gave up chiding me

I was too much for its simplicity

I feel no one can match me

Yet they all follow 

Disciples that need me

My throne is democratic

My name is on all lips

I know them not

But my reputation precedes me

Oh, how I love me

I don’t do self-help books

I have natural talent

No sense following me

Aim to be led and you will

Get the chance to worship me

Saints I create

Victims I leave to have

A pitiful debate

Come and have a go

See if you can capture me

Pretend to be me

Or why not just bask in my glory
