Hunger Strike

Hunger Strike

I won't eat prunes but I can write about runes,
don't like avocados, reminded me of peccadilloes,
won't take chateaubriand, reminiscent of pink sand,
and something like an unborn octopus should be banned.

Escargot was just about as far as you could go,
scallops looked like bollocks eaten by pillocks,
a complete melange of sea food gave you mussels,
my nephew didn't like the sprouts from Brussels.

In fact, nobody really liked anything from there,
unless you finally relapsed with a chocolate pear,
the croissants were bearable with blackcurrant jam,
a nice bonus methinks after wham bam thank you maam.

I lost weight, lost my mate, the things you love to hate,
sorry chaps, there's a chocolate mousse, just can't wait.
