Hunted

im being hunted

theres a monster inside

masochistic intentions

refusal to hide

people can see

im good at detection

eyes mirrored images

an unusual reflection

he doesn't live in my closet

nor beneath my bed

this particular monster

seeks refuge in my head

claws at the walls

breaking down the foundation

i feel so defeated

but i allow the dictation

i thrive on complexity

but simplicity is routine

how can we have understanding

when theres so much space in between
