Poem -

I am a bird ?

I am a bird ?

Boisterously blowing midst a northerly breeze I fly to a copse and flit thru the trees
I need to find shelter so I have to land now as my talons take a hold of a bold trusty bough
I sit there as steadily as can be but this sudden storm is battling with me
Breaking my branches and stealing like thieves whilst cylones of spirals scatter the leaves

This is the worst wind that I have ever heard but my senses are stronger coz I am a bird
With my worn out wings wrapped around my chest trying to protect my feathery vest
I look all around from my high bird’s eye view but while my Mother Nature is angry, there is nothing I can do
This whistling wailing is a meloncholy mad like long lost souls that are insufferably sad

The tip of my branch has fallen to earth crash landing in carnage with all of it’s worth
So I shifted my perch from out of the blue to a scenic sight with a different view
I see a flag flying ontop of a castle it’s rip-roaring cloth wrapped round in a tassle with shreds of threads torn at the seams as diagonal drenches of pouring rain teems
If I have to sit sheltering here allnight I am a bird I will be alright
