I am a flame

I am a flame.
That which lights up your room,
As morning splits the sky.
The God of charred ground,
Lips burnt to a goodbye.
.
I am a flame.
Consuming and rebirthing,
Of which fears are born.
Bursting red, burning black,
Prayers ignite as you mourn.
.
I am a flame.
So pray for your brothers,
Your fathers, your mothers, yourself.
Because I’ll rage and I’ll destroy,
And then consume myself.
.
I am a flame.
And, as a flame, I will burn-
A prayer that learnt to spark.
And nothing; no love, no life,
No hurt, no spite, nothing will make me dark.
.
I am a flame.

Hi, I love the strength that you have given the flame, it really works as a great metaphor (the flame has a will of its own) ....I really enjoyed this
well done
