I am flying… 💙
I espy the horizon, it is in my reach as I run along this sandy beach
I open my arms as I spread my wings..such light as a feather, beautiful things
As I rise my feet brushing the soft, silky sand and I say farewell to the golden land
With the seawater below and the blue sky above.. I am flying like a heavenly snowwhite Dove
I tower the ocean as I soar the sea.. in a flight of fabulous, fantastically free
There is nothing to stop or hinder me as I hover like a humming, honeybee
I squawk like a seagull but I am a much bigger bird as I listen to the others..I understand every word
For I am an Albatross the king of the sea.. (only the very best for little old me)
As I gaze I see miniature matchboxes below with the glorious, golden corn fields of glow
I shall search the ocean and scour the lands until I tire of flying..then I walk on the sands…

Felt like I was flying with the king of the sea, albatross. We love birds and with our cat watch them at our bird feeders every day. The doves inspired a poem of mine several years ago, called Flying Free. Love your poem.
