Poem -

I Am Not A Statistic

I am not another number in your book,
I breath and have a beating heart.
Do not label me with others,
we do not have anything in common.
My story is my own,
not something for you to earn credit for.
You label us with pride for research,
but you still do not understand any of us.

I refuse to be anything less than I am,
I am an individual and unique.
Do not treat me as just another patient,
I am not for you to just pass on to another.
I am here for a reason,
instead of ignoring that try to help me.

Do a 360 and research them. Make a book for them. Give them a number. See what happens on pay day.
