Poem -

I am sorry to myself

I am sorry to myself

As humans we hate when we make mistakes.
We try to correct them to prove to others we can change or do better.
Why am I so sorry to you when I should be sorry to myself?
I wronged myself. I turned my back on myself, I disrespected myself.
We are so quick to be sorry to people we have hurt, but why do we not care about how we hurt yourselves throughout the process?
At the end of the day I owe you nothing and I owe myself everything.
I went against my morals, boundaries and values in life just to love you and I am sorry to you?

Time is our Frenemy
