Poem -

I Applause Thee.

Today you broke the news to me,
That you have moved on,
You've found someone new,
Though you told me I was the one?
My heart it felt such sorrow,
That it has never felt before,
I quite literally dropped to my knees,
To the floor,
I cried until the tears could fall no more.
My head it bangs so hard,
From all the screams & shouts,
In an attempt,
To let all of the pain out!
The day I chose to change my ways,
You chose to walk out the door,
That left me questioning,
What am I doing this for?
But then I remind myself,
It will lead to opening new doors.
I'm trying to use this experience,
To help me push on through,
One day there will come a time,
That I'll get over you.
Until this day does reach me,
There's one thing you should know,
I love you more than life itself,
And it continues to grow.
Life throws you many obstacles,
Of which you must learn to climb,
I know that I will reach my goals,
One day I'll shine!
The only time I'll get to send this,
You'll never understand the pain you've caused,
With a broken heart I say to thee,
Here's a big round of applause.
